Books, Strengths & Comfort Zones | Q&A

16 June 2019

As mentioned over on my Instagram, I wanted to write a quick Q&A post. I feel as though a lot has happened since I posted my last Q&A, back in September 2017, and now is the perfect time to reintroduce myself. Like last time, I've compiled a list of questions, both from Instagram and Pinterest, that I thought would be most interesting to answer, those that would not be considered the most typical of questions. With that, enjoy getting to know me a little better!

Have you ever created a capsule wardrobe?

Not yet; this is something I've definitely considered, however my sense of style seems to fluctuate so much at the moment that I would find it difficult to do so.

How do you feel when you're asked to speak in public?

Honestly, pretty terrified! Yes, I seem relatively confident talking behind a keyboard, however the thought of having to speak in front of a large audience is enough to send my legs to jelly!

What do you generally do during TV adverts?

Get a drink, have a quick scroll through my phone, maybe grab something to eat.

How do people generally describe you?

I'm not sure; I feel as though people can see me in different lights. Generally, however, I would say that people may describe me as conscientious, reliable, witty and somewhat over-analytical at times.

What's your most important project right now?

My A-Levels! More specifically, in terms of an ongoing project, my Textiles coursework.

What do you love about your job?

The confidence it has given me in my own abilities, and the people I have met.

What fear is holding you back?

It's not so much of a fear, but I would have to say my comfort zone is the biggest restraint in my life. I once read something that said, "Comfort is the enemy of progress", and it is now a saying I keep in mind all the time.

Would you like to start a new hobby?

Yes, something I really want to start doing is improving on my German speaking.

Is there anything you can't live without?

Cliché as it sounds, I don't think I could go by everyday without music, in any format. It seems to make even the most laborious of tasks easier, in my opinion.

Morning person or night owl?

I'm very much a night person. A lot of what I do is at night, and I'm probably most productive during this time.

Favourite book you've read this year?

So far, my favourite book of this year is either 'The Tattooist of Auchwitz' or 'One of Us is Lying', which I finished only a couple of days ago.

What qualities are important in a role model?

Most importantly, somebody who makes you strive to better yourself in someway.

What qualities would you like to develop?

Firstly, the ability to be able to see the bigger picture better; in other terms, to avoid sweating the small stuff. Also, I'd love to develop the ability to say no more, when it really matters. I'm always highly conscious of how the things I say can be received by others, but I've learnt that sometimes it is also okay to say no to things.

And finally, what is your strongest quality?

If I had to pick out something, it would be my strong work ethic.

Lots of love,
