Recently, I've become much more aware of wanting to take care of my skin and keep it looking as
good as possible. I've never really been able to get into the habit of sticking to any kind of routine, however I've managed to make it as quick and easy as possible, meaning I'm more likely to stick to it.
I have never been completely sure of my skin type, to be honest with you. I know I haven't necessarily got oily skin, or sensitive or combination skin and, although I have a tendency to get some drier patches around areas such as my nose, I wouldn't say I have dry skin. It doesn't really seem to fit into any of these categories. As a result, I mainly focus on keeping my skin hydrated and feeling as soft as it can possibly be.
In the evening, after a whole day of wearing makeup etc, I firstly use Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water to remove any makeup or dirt from my face. This has been a firm favourite of mine, I think since it first hit stores, because while it's pretty inexpensive, it does a great job of removing all makeup on my face.
Then, I'll move on to using the Simple Foam Cleanser, which I only discovered recently. I like this product because it feels very harmless on my face, but still feels like it's working well. When applying, I foam up the product in my hands, cover the main areas of my face (cheeks, forehead, chin etc.) and then use a wet face cloth to wipe the product away. I'm not sure if this is how you're meant to use this product, but it works for me!
Finally, I use Nivea's Daily Essentials moisturiser to smoothen my skin and to keep it hydrated. I only bought this moisturiser the other day - on a bit of a whim because I needed a new moisturiser - and already love it. The formula isn't too thick on the skin and the smell of this product isn't overwhelming at all. And if you buy this from Morrisons, like me, it's only £3.94!
This updated routine is definitely the one I have been most consistent with, although I do still find myself being a bit inconsistent every so often!
