As you're all probably well aware by this stage, I've got a real enthusiasm for style and the industry of fashion in general. A while ago, I wrote a roundup of a few of the Spring 2018 trends that stood out to me, and reviewed them.
I really enjoyed creating that one, so thought it'd only be right to do the same for Autumn. I have noticed recently that the majority of shops have released their new stock, most notably New Look and ASOS. The summer sales are finally coming to a close as brands make way for the new season style.
One of my favourite new trends has to be button-front clothing, especially pieces with the large, natural-looking ones (there is definitely a proper name for these buttons; it's bugging me that I can't remember it!). They really seem to add real interest to what would otherwise be rather basic clothing. Some stand-outs pieces, for me, are the cream sweater (Topshop) and mustard top above (New Look).
Crochet is a concept that, although looks incredible in stores and online, I can't really see myself wearing all that often, unfortunately. While I adore accents of it on items such as the playsuit above (New Look), all-crochet pieces just aren't for me.
Another stand-out trend for the new season is slogan tops. I'm a sucker for a slogan t-shirt, and I must say that New Look by far do the best ones. I recently purchased this particular one, which also gives a nod to the next trend I thought was worth a mention. I do love the versatility of slogan t-shirts, as they can be worn casually or dressed up with a faux leather skirt!
The trend in question is animal print. I am LIVING for the leopard and cheetah print patterns that have been hitting the stores recently, particularly the leopard print. Of course, this pattern concept has been around for a long time now, but has only recently made its comeback.
So there we have it; my roundup of all the latest trends to hit the high street this season! Which ones do you love?
Ahhh these are all so cute, love your picks! I really love that cream Topshop sweater and the big button trend (technical term haha!) :D I'm really excited to see what's coming in store for autumn! xx
